The Great Wave off Kanagawa (神奈川沖浪裏, Kanagawa-oki nami ura) is an iconic woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾北斎), circa 1829 to 1833 in the late Edo period. To date, this remains as Hokusai’s most famous piece of work and has been one of the most recognisable works of Japanese Art in the world.
Given the rich history and origin of Hokusai and SEIKO, this is a perfectly paired appreciation of art and horology.
The dial is designed with a highly glossy enamel finish with beveled mirror polished silver hour indices. This design is a day date version.
